David Hicks was a noted English interior designer in the 1960s and '70s. Known for his use of bright color and combination of traditional and modern design, Hicks cultivated a wealthy, jet-setting clientele around the world. This pattern was inspired by one of Hicks' textile designs from the 1960s, its open twist motif reminiscent of Chinese fretwork. In shades of blue and red on a white ground.
This can be finished as a clutch in leather, a zipper-top pouch with a fabric back, a pillow, or small tray. Wouldn't it look great as a purse with bamboo handles!
