When two patterns collide: this oversized clutch canvas combines my Leopard and Pendant patterns. I have a downloadable chart for letters that fit the center so you add your initial! See the Charts section of my shop.
This canvas is a little larger than my usual clutch size—it measures about 9 x 12 inches. You could also finish this as an iPad cover or pillow.
Canvas size 13 x 16 inches, 13 mesh.
Threads used in stitched sample:
- Appletons tapestry wool 993 (black), 984, 902, 904. You can buy Appletons wool from HM Nabavian in New York--they ship very quickly!
- Kreinik metallic braid #24 002HL, 202HL, and 001. Kreinik can be tough to block--I highly recommend stitching on stretcher bars and not being a crazy-tight stitcher like me!

Fyre Werks FT11 for the shadow of the pendant (it had to be gray on the canvas to differentiate it from the spots!)
- The blue background is DMC Eco Vita 607 and 608, the letter colors are 002, 001, and106. The Eco Vita line uses natural dyes and the colors have a tiny bit a variegation.
