This fish design is based on the pictorial tilework in the bathroom at Ernest Hemingway's home in Key West Florida, which he remodeled in 1931.  The original tiles are gold and black, but I changed these to a pretty turquoise blue.  This 12-inch square needlepoint canvas would make a fantastic pillow or tray, especially for a beach house.  

I also have the companion Bird canvas you see in the second image, and both designs in a smaller 4-inch square.  Hand painted on 100% cotton Zweigart mono deluxe canvas.
