Based on 'Holbein' carpets made in West Anatolia in the 16th century, small canvas  combines motifs that emulate the richness of these early textiles.  Instead of the warm, natural colors of the original carpets, I switched this version to bright blues and greens!

This canvas comes can be finished as a zipper-top pouch, or, it is sized to fit into standard acrylic purses (I sized this to Island House Needlepoint's finishing specs).  

This is a great piece for using threads from your stash!  Pull out all your blues and greens and have fun. 

This canvas is hand painted on 100% cotton Zweigart mono deluxe canvas.

There are many choices for 18 mesh!  You can try these Pepper Pot silk colors, but you can definitely mix it up with other silks or sparkly threads.
